Looks like cheaper ultrabooks might on the way as Intel is in talk with the ultrabook vendors to launch Haswell powered computers during the start of holiday season. Intel executive, Kirk Skaugen told crn that cheaper ultrabooks are indeed in the tunnel and the starting price of these computers will be 600 dollars.
These new computers will also have higher resolution screens, voice and facial recognition for better security and of course, all day battery life, thanks to efficient Haswell architecture. However, do not expect all of these features at 600 dollar price tag.
Haswell is designed from the ground up to give most efficient performance on an ultrabook so that the users does not have to carry extra batteries or chargers to work on the move.
